A controversial Cosmopolitan article has surfaced, and now some are calling for a boycott of the magazine. “21 Beauty Trends That Need To Die” was published on the magazine’s website in January and compared “gorgeous” trends with trends that need to “die.”

Sounds innocent enough, except only White models were used for every “gorgeous” trend, while one fifth of the “R.I.P.” trends were modeled by women of color. Shared over 80,000 times, the article warranted angry reactions on social media when it resurfaced yesterday.

It’s no secret that diversity has always been an issue within the fashion industry, and Cosmo is now the latest outlet to disappoint us.

Kanye West might make many enraged with his rants and statements, but his talents in music are arguably of legendary status.

The superstar producer and rapper was given an award at the BET Honors, which aired earlier this evening, and it was presented to him by Dame Dash.

The former Roc-A-Fella head honcho gave an uplifting and commending 7-minute speech about Yeezy, speaking on his talent throughout the years despite their differences, with Kanye smiling the whole way through.

When `Ye went up to accept his award, he made sure to leave everyone with some words of wisdom, and even spoke on his relationship with Kim Kardashian. The unedited speech lasted a total of 9 minutes.

Speaking on racial equality, his marriage to Kim, and being a visionary, Kanye had everyone at the edges of their seats, as well as letting out a few laughs or two…
