The Recap: The Deshai Cole Brand and Houston-based EA Events Celebrates Women Empowerment With 2nd Annual Ultimate Girl’s Festival In Atlanta!

ugf flierFrom Friday March 14th through Saturday March 15th, radio personality and sex/relationship extraordinaire Deshai Cole collaborates with TV One’s R&B Diva star Keke Wyatt, Harold “House” Moore of VH-1’s Single Ladies and Celebrity Hair Stylist Shekinah Jo for her second annual Ultimate Girls Festival. The Ultimate Girls Festival was in full effect Friday evening as Deshai hosted an exciting networking event at Gocha Salon called “Conversations & Cocktails” with lifestyle blogger Perez. Attendees enjoyed a fun filled evening of dancing, mingling, adult games, and complimentary cocktails provided by Smoke Liqueur. After the mixer was the after party at Suede Tapas Lounge.

Atmosphere Saturday morning at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center, guests were in for a real treat as they indulged in a delicious catered breakfast and were later acquainted by Keynote speaker, award-winning lifestyle and technology blogger Courtney Luv as she emphasized the importance of living with a purpose and passion. The rest of the morning consisted of break out sessions that covered topics in health, fitness, looking good and bringing thrill and excitement in the bedroom.

Once the break out sessions were done, VH-1’s Family Hustle castmate and celebrity hair stylist Shekinah Jo and Shaunell Robinson, founder of the infamous high-end beauty brand Conceited Inc, united with a panel of female business owners to educate guests on creating a business and how to excel in your industry with the “So You Want To Be A Boss” panel.

Notable panelists on the male panel included Harold House Moore, Omar Slim White, DJ Fadelf Soon after, an all male panel entitled “What Men Really Think” featured Harold “House” Moore of VH1-’s Single Ladies, Omar “Slim” White, and DJ Fadelf gave women a male perspective on how to retain a healthy relationship and what men really want.

Panel Discussions (2) The enthusiastic guests asked the panel many interesting questions like “is it ok to sleep with someone the first night?” “How do you know if you have the right person?” as well as addressed trust issues in relationships. Each panelist addressed each question with their own perspective and guests were enlighten to know that their responses did not invoke the typical male stereotype and put a lot of minds at ease.

Later on that evening, the festivities commenced at 595 North Event Center where attendees networked, competed for cash prizes and enjoyed a show from TV One’s R&B Divas castmate KeKe Wyatt. All proceeds were donated to The Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc.

A Recap Of Giving Is Glam’s Very Own GLAMBITIOUS EMPOWERMENT PANEL & MIXER Hosted By Lifestyle Publicist Lillie Mae!

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to attend the Glambitious Empowerment Panel & Mixer, which took place at celebrity chef Rob Gayle’ Restaurant “Chef Rob’s Caribbean Café & Upscale Lounge” in Roswell, Georgia Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

Entertainment Publicist and Celebrity Correspondent Lillie Mae along side Rolling Out Magazine, BE Magazine, Its My Hair Magazine, Chef’s Rob’s Upscale Lounge and T-shirt Divas collaborated to create this phenomenal gathering of female business owners designed to give attendee the opportunity to network, discuss professional experiences, overcoming adversity, balancing work and home, and how to be successful. There were a variety of giveaways and the event collected gently worn shoes for the “40 Girls and Some Shoes” nonprofit organization.

The Panelist consisted of the owner of Tu La 2 Nail Salon Sharlinda Parker (Tula2NailSalon.com), Life Coach Wendy Nicole Anderson (PositiveInfluenceCoaching.com), Celebrity Chef & Indigenous Activist Chef Ahki (ChefAhki.com), Fashion Stylist, Blogger & Boutique Owner NeShanta Davis (StyleIsShe.com), and Creator of Bodyology Wear Kelly Burton (BodyologyWear.com).

The event began at 7 PM, which allowed the attendees to get settled, network and order delicious dishes from Chef Rob’s kitchen. I arrived at 7:30 and was immediately impressed by the ambiance of the restaurant. Dim lights, vibrant colors and the sultry sounds of the Caribbean alone will keep you coming back for more. You can check out Chef Rob’s Upscale Lounge here (http://www.chefrobscafe.com/) and trust me you will not be disappointed. The food is AMAZING! Once 8 PM rolled around, the lovely ladies on the Panel introduced themselves, discussed their brands, and their personal journeys that made them what they are today. Lillie Mae asked the Panel a series of questions such as “How do you balance being an entrepreneur and having a family life?” “What challenges did you face when starting your business and how did you overcome them?” And “How did you achieve success with you brand?” Just to name a few. Once Lillie Mae was finished, she opened the floor to attendees to ask the Panel questions of their own.

Overall, I am extremely thankful to meet such a wonder group of business women. This was a very informational event for female entrepreneurs who are thinking of starting their own business or currently has a brand of their own. I encourage everyone to Like Lillie Mae’s Giving Glam Organization Facebook Page to learn more and attend future events.

I am also glad I went here instead of attending a certain bistro & bar *hint* *hint*
